James J. Renzulli, Jr., 71, of Anderson, SC, died May 26, 2014 of natural causes with his family by his side.
James was born in Norwalk, CT, on February 26, 1943. He lived the majority of his life in Bethel, CT, where he owned and operated multiple businesses, including Renz Plumbing & Heating. James retired to Anderson in 2006. He spent much of his free time riding his Harley around South Carolina, listening to Country music, watching NASCAR, cooking and baking cakes. He was passionate about music and over the years taught himself to play the accordion, guitar, harmonica and drums. He was devoted to helping others in need and especially interested in keeping kids in school and off of drugs.
James was recently remarried and is survived by his wife: Anna Hudec Renzulli and her family; his son: James III and daughter-in-law Mary Renzulli of Bethel; his daughter-in-law: Cathy Renzulli of Danbury, CT; his son: Michael Renzulli of Danbury; his daughter: Amanda and son-in-law Frank LoConte of Revere, MA; grandchildren: Corey Renzulli, Lindsay Petersen and family, Randi Emmans and John Sweeney; brother: Donald and sister-in-law Barbara Renzulli and family, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins. James was predeceased by his parents James Sr. and Theresa Renzulli, his son Kevin Renzulli, his brother John Renzulli and his sister Christina and brother-in-law Walter Rafa.
The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave. Bethel, CT on Sunday, June 1, 2014, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Bethel, Monday, June 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
