Kinney, Kenneth R.
Kenneth Raymond Kinney of Danbury, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Danbury Hospital after a long illness, with his wife, Georgia, at his side.
Kenneth was the youngest of nine children, born June 17, 1932, to Joseph and Myrtle Kinney in Tioga Center, New York. Kenneth, a Korean War Naval veteran, was honorably discharged in 1955. An avid golf enthusiast as well as an excellent bowler, he also enjoyed hunting. His real pride and joy was his garden, where he proudly grew beautiful tomatoes.
Kenneth was an employed by IBM for 32 years and proud that he was able to work until the age of 78; never missing a day of work.
Mr. Kinney is survived by his wife, Georgia, seven children, 22 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two daughters, Joan Rustine and Janet Fulling as well as all of his siblings.
Keeping up with Kenneth's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
