Javillonar, Kevin M.
Kevin Michael Javillonar, age 62 of Danbury died Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY after a short illness.
Kevin was born in Danbury, August 9, 1950 son of Betty (Baker) Javillonar of Bethel and the late Michel A. Javillonar. In addition to his mother he is survived by sisters: Dolores "Bonnie" McNulty and husband Tom of Danbury and JoAnn Stroud and her husband Fred of Houston Texas. Beloved Uncle of Thomas McNulty, IV, Michael and Emily Morfin and the late Karin Viol. Proud Great Uncle of Tiffany, Sean, Kevin Hobbs, Ryan, Ian and Erin McNulty. Many cousins in the Philippine Islands and four cousins on his mother's side.
He lived his entire life in Danbury. During his teenage years he was the drummer in the popular local band known as the Nomads. In 1987 he became a tennis professional as a member of The United States Professional Tennis Association. He graduated from Western Connecticut State University and began his teaching career at New Fairfield High School. Along with teaching he produced and directed the school's musicals for several years. He also served as the school's tennis coach. In 1996 Kevin was awarded New Fairfield's Teacher of the year and then went on to place second for the State Teacher of the year. He continued his career at Brookfield High School and then went on to Ridgefield High School until his retirement two years ago.
He was an avid sports fan and especially fond of the UCONN Huskies Women's Basketball team and the New York Yankee baseball team. He also enjoyed being an active member of the Porsche Automobile Club.
Putting his Masters in English to use, he was a great Punster. His wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be held at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division Street, Danbury.
Tuesday evening, January 22nd, 2013, at 7:00.
The family will receive friends at the Hull Home, Tuesday preceding the service from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
