Leslie R. Goodwin, 44, of Brookfield, wife of Christopher J. Goodwin, died at her home on Monday evening, November 26, 2012. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Yorktown Heights, NY, a daughter of Shirlie (Movesian) Haig of Newtown, CT and the late James Haig who died the same evening as his daughter. She attended Yorktown, NY schools, Yorktown High School and attained her Bachelor's Degree from Pace University, Pleasantville, NY. A former executive assistant with I.B.M., Mrs. Goodwin was an executive assistant for the Senior Pastor at Walnut Hill Community Church, Bethel for the past seven years. An area resident for the past seventeen years coming from Westchester County, NY, she enjoyed crafts, gardening and most especially her family. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Goodwin is survived by two children, Sadie E. Goodwin and Connor P. Goodwin both of Brookfield, two brothers, Jamie Haig of Putnam Valley, NY and Jeff Haig of Florida and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 4 PM to 8 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Walnut Hill Community Church, 156 Walnut Hill Rd., Bethel, Sunday Dec. 2nd at 3 pm.
