Lloyd Stout, age 89 a resident of Wilton, CT for the last 10 years, formerly of Upper Arlington in Columbus, OH died Tuesday January 21, 2014 at his home. Born May 13, 1924 he was the son of the late Lloyd and Genevieve McLaughlin Stout. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Nanciann Williams Stout in 1991.
He graduated from Upper Arlington High School, where he played varsity basketball and captained the varsity baseball team, and The Ohio State University, College of Business. He was a member of The Ohio State University Alumni Associate and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. An avid sports fan, he shared his roots as an Ohio State Buckeye with his sons and grandchildren. For his achievements in baseball he was inducted to the Golden Bear Diamond Club. A proud long time member of the First Community Church, and past member of Kiwanis. He was a past director of Upper Arlington Civic Association, and served as Grand Master of the 4th of July Parade. A career salesman, he retired from real estate to join his family in Connecticut. In retirement he actively volunteered at the Waveny Care Center for which he received the 5000 Hour Service Award and the Outstanding Established Senior Individual Volunteer Award.
Lloyd is survived by his two sons, Craig Williams Stout of Redding, CT, and Lloyd Wesley Stout and his wife Sarah of Wilton, CT, and five grandchildren, Meghan Stout, Lindsay Stout, Allison Ducharme, and Blair and Ben Stout, who all loved him dearly.
A private interment will be held in the family plot in Columbus, OH
