Michael Sedor, 98 of Newtown passed quietly at home on June 7th, 2014. Michael was a lifelong resident of Newtown and was born in 1915 in the farm house on Currituck road. One of 13 children, Michael was on his own from an early age and enlisted with the U.S. Army
during WWII. During this time, Michael was one of the soldiers to participate in the D-day invasion of Normandy, France. After being discharged from the Army, Michael settled down to raise a family and to run a successful horticulture business. He retired in 1979 and took a caretaking position on an estate that lasted for thirty years. Michael was truly blessed by a long and healthy life. Michael was predeceased by his wife, Frances Sedor and his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Adams. He is survived by his son-in-law, Glenn Adams, of Bridgewater; grandson, Jason Adams of Sandy Hook, and great grandson, Glenn Aleister Adams.
