Sally T. Pikul, 95, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Bernard A. Pikul passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. Born August 24, 1918 in Windsor Locks daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Pietrusza) Noga. She attended John Fitch High School in Windsor. In June of 1939 she married Bernard A. Pikul in St. Gabriel Church, Windsor. Before retiring she was employed by the Travelers. Her passion in life was to dance, she was known in Windsor Locks as the "polka queen", she was a member of the Polish National Home in Windsor Locks, she ran the polka dances with her husband and continued to run them even after his death. During her later years she enjoyed having tea parties with her great grandchildren. All her family called her "Baci", she is survived by a son, Bernard J. Pikul and his wife Brenda of Danbury; two daughters, Patricia A. Galler and her husband Robert of Windsor, Janice Turek and her husband Raymond of Enfield; a sister-in-law, Victoria Noga of Windsor; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Benjamin, John and Felix Noga. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 4-7 PM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Family and friends may gather Wednesday, July 9, 2014 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 AM at St. Gabriel Church, Windsor. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor, CT 06095.
