Vincent Camperchioli, 94, born in Brooklyn, New York and formerly of New York City and New Milford, Connecticut, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Seabury Retirement Community in Bloomfield. Vincent served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in England where he met his wife of 62 years, Edith, who predeceased him. His son, Vincent and granddaughter, Olivia also predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Camperchioli and her husband Al Hinds of Bloomfield; his daughter-in-law, Joan Camperchioli and grandchildren John, James, Marian, Joseph and David of Westbrook. Vincent worked for many years as a data processing supervisor at Benrus Watch Company, and had many interests outside of work. He was an avid gardener, card player, and bowler. He was very active in the VFW at Andrew B. Mygatt Post 1672 in New Milford, and prior to moving to Connecticut in 1968, he was very active as a Mason with Caxton Lodge No. 960 in New York City. Family and friends, alike, will miss his warm smile, interesting stories, and kind and gentle manner. Vincent's family would like to extend its thanks to the Seabury Retirement Community of Bloomfield, where he made his home for the past nine years. Their care and concern for both Vincent and his late wife, Edith, created a happy and healthy environment for both of them. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 4 at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM to 10:30 AM.
