Marjorie Gloria Thrall

Marjorie Gloria (Bell) Thrall, age 86, died peacefully at her home in Sandy Hook on September 15, 2010. Gloria, as see was known to all, was born in Haverstraw, N.Y. on February 23, 1924 and grew up in White Plains, N.Y. She was the daughter of William and Marion (Weir) Bell. Gloria was married for 55 years to Arthur Jack Thrall of Sandy Hook, who predeceased her in 2001. Their son, Jack, died in 1978. Gloria raised three children and retired from Fairfield Hills Hospital in 1989 where she worked in accounts payable for 23 years. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Thrall of Sandy Hook and Diana "Dee" Thrall and her partner, Rose Fogelman of Newtown; and a sister, Diane Smith of White Plains, NY Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery.
