Linda Kotalik Obituary

Linda Ann Kotalik, age 54 of New Fairfield, died suddenly with her loving son by her side on Monday, October 11, 2010. Linda was the beautiful daughter of the late Edmund Zrabkowski. Her mother, Ann Zrabkowski resides in Arkansas. Linda was born in Queens, N.Y. and graduated from Madison Township, N.J. High School. Upon graduation from Quinnipiac University, Linda began her career in nursing in New Orleans. She loved the flavor of the "Big Easy" and the "Le Bon Ton Roulet" (let the good times roll) lifestyle, along with her dad and family, Linda was a "Who Dat" fan of the New Orleans Saints. In New Orleans in the early 80s, she met her future husband, John, on a blind date set up by her mom, Ann. Moving to Maryland, Linda bore two gifts from God, Andrew John in 1987 and Kellie Alyssa in 1991. Her final move was to New Fairfield where she worked at Stop & Shop and enjoyed lively banter with her regular customers. Linda's strong personality and unconditional love for her children and husband will always shine in their lives. Linda loved God, nature, and animals, especially her beloved dogs, Peaches and Muffin. Her hobbies included cooking, photography, and spending time with her family at the ocean. Linda's sarcastic nature provided those she came in contact with the lesson to take everything with a grain of salt. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, John; two wonderful children, Andrew and Kellie for whom her love will forever burn. Linda has two sisters, Cathy Cassingham and family of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Christine Stanley and family of Canton, Ga. Linda's brother, Robert, resides with his family in New Orleans. A life celebration for Linda will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division St. Danbury, from 4 to 6 p.m. A Memorial Mass for Linda will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church in New Fairfield on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Linda's favorite charities MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), 7 Ward St., East Hartford, CT 06108-3040; St Jude's Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or March Of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, 11 Belden Ave., Norwalk, CT 06850-3347. Information and on line condolences at HullFuneralService.com.

Linda was always kind and quick with humor no matter what life's circumstances brought her way. She was so proud of her family and loved bragging about her kids. I will miss her beautiful, blue eyes. God's peace to her family and loved ones.

Linda,
I miss you so much already. I only wish that I could have seen you one more time before you left us. I promise you that I will take care of Kellie everyday, and that If your family needs me I'll be there like you always were for me. I miss the laughs we use to share, our gossips, and going to Friendly's. You were like a second mom to me, and I promise to make you proud. You were such a inspiration, and my one hope in life is to be at least half the mom you were. I love you sooooo much.

"Although the sun will never shine the same again, I'll always look to a brighter day Lord I know when I lay me down to sleep you will always listen as I pray"

I'll be missing you,
Michele <3

To John, Kelly, and Andrew,
I knew Linda from her work place. I was one of her regular customers. We became good friends over the years. She called me her Candy Lady, as I brought Candy Bouquets to her for holiday occasions. Linda and I were fast friends beyond client customer relationship. This bond was formed because of her kindness, gregarious nature, and warm, loving spirit. I heard of the family often and the new and exciting things her children were doing...and John and the railroad...I was shocked when approached by her co-workers and told of the news. My heart is broken as I adored Linda. She will be sorely missed. I feel your pain, and I pray that God give you three strenghth to move forward at this ever so difficult time.
