Anna May Rose born April 7, 1924 to Edith and Hanford Barrett in Yorktown Heights, NY died on October 5, 2013 in Bethel, CT. Anna enjoyed many years with her late husband, veteran, Charles L. Rose in Danbury, CT where she loved children, her own and the many she cared for in her years at the Danbury Bowlarama.
Anna loved gardening, particularly flowers, the color green, butterflies and was a lifelong Yankees fan. Anna (or Gram) was loved by many. Although she is reunited with some of her family, she will be dearly missed by those here to mourn her passing. Her daughters, Carrie Knapp of Rutland, VT, Bonnie Knapp of Wallkill, NY, Her grandchildren, Kimberly Morrissey of Stowe, VT, Charles Knapp of Maybrook, NY, Felicia Baker of Wallingford, VT, the late David Knapp, Eric Knapp of Middletown, NY, Viella Knapp of Rutland, VT, Nicole Knapp of Walden, NY, Eunice Knapp of Rutland, VT, the late Suzanne Knapp, Mistie Knapp of Poughkeepsie, NY, Levon Knapp of Wallkill, NY, 12 great-grandchildren, and countless friends she made along her journey.
A memorial gathering will be held at Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street Danbury on what would have been Anna and Charles' 67th wedding anniversary, November 10, 2013 from 2-4 p.m.

My heartfelt condolences go out to your entire family. I have very fond memories of "Mrs. Rose" as she gave such loving care to my children many years ago at the Bowlarama.
Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over all of you.
