Garvey, Christine

Christine Garvey, 95, of Bethel, beloved wife of the late James A. Garvey, passed away at Danbury Hospital on Monday, April 15, 2013.
Christine was born in Danbury, daughter of the late John and Anna (Holick) Fusek. She attended Danbury schools and prior to her retirement she had worked as a bookkeeper for the Mitchell Fuel Company. She was a longtime member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son James K. Garvey and wife Lynelle of Southbury, her daughter Lynn A. Brown and husband Richard of East Hampton, her brothers: Stephen Fusek and wife Betty, Edward Fusek and wife Jean and Paul Fusek and wife Mary Sue, sisters: Mildred Fusek, Alice Jurenka and Irene Fusek all of Danbury, brother Emil Fusek and wife Jacqueline of Redding, sister Ruth Locke of Bethel and sister-in-law Chris Fusek of Danbury, her loving granddaughters Lauren and Tricia Brown and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Fusek, sisters Ann Fusek and Elizabeth Duda and brothers-in-law Francis Duda and Peter Jurenka.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Danbury, on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
