Frederick Crouch Obituary

Crouch, Frederick A.
Frederick A. Crouch, 67, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 23, 2013 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary Dougherty Crouch.
Born in Rosenheim, Germany on September 20, 1946, he was the son of Anna Crouch and the late Dave Crouch.
Fred was raised in the Sandy Hook section of Newtown. He served as a fireman in the U.S. Air force from 1966-1970. He was an artist with stone as his medium for more than forty years. He enjoyed fishing with his grandson, camping, hiking, and golf.
In addition to his wife Mary and mother Anna he is survived by his daughter; Emily, son; Eli and grandson; Sebastian Ruscoe all of Northfield, a brother; Arthur Crouch and his wife Norma of New Milford, three sisters; Susan O'Connor and her husband Dan of Southington, Pamela Palmer and her husband Tim of Roxbury, Dinah Walsh and her husband Jim of Newtown and 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
Fred's family would like to thank his mother, brother, and sisters for their unfailing support and also Peter Wooster, Brian Gawel, and Peter Moritz for their constant emotional and moral support for Fred and his family.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00AM at the First Congregational Church in Litchfield, 21 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT. Burial will be private.

So sorry about the death of Fred. Fred and I went to school together and graduated together,class of 64. He was always so much fun and had a smile o his face. God be with you all

Mary,Art,Eli,Emily,and family, I am so sorry to have heard about Fred's passing. I well remember all those nights playing cards,laughing and joking till the early hours of the morn. It really was that long ago but it always seemed there would be another game....Fred was a great man and I am proud to have known him...he will be missed...........
