Mary Ann (Alling) Rudinas, of Bedford, VA, formerly of Bethel, CT went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2013. Her loving husband, George Rudinas, Sr., predeceased her. Mary Ann (Cookie) was born on November 11, 1935 to the late Charles and Catherine Alling. She grew up in Bridgeport, CT. She is survived by her siblings, Charles (Carol) Alling of Milford, Margaret (Jimmy) Walsh of Brookline, VT, Lillian Reynolds and Janet Alling, both of Bridgeport. Mary Ann was the proud mother of Mark Rudinas of Bedford, VA and George (Laila) Rudinas, Jr. of Bethel. She loved being a Grandmother to Stacy Rudinas of Stoneville, NC, Katie Rudinas of Bedford, VA, Daniel Tucciarone, Joshua and Kristine Rudinas of Bethel, CT. She was also a great grandmother to Kinsley and Brayden. Mary Ann worked as a bookkeeper and waitress for many years, as well being a partner with her husband running Ma & Pa's Traveling Kitchen. She was a long time member of the First Assembly of God churches both in Brookfield, Connecticut and Bedford, Virginia. She was supportive of the family racing legacy. First with the cars her husband owned and ran at Danbury Racearena with his brothers and later when Mark and George drove at area tracks including Middletown, N.Y. and Riverside Speedway in Agawam, MA for many years. Mary Ann loved to spend time with her family. She could often be found going out to lunch and a little treat and then shopping for the perfect gift to give to people she loved. She had a kind and gentle heart, always ready to help someone in need, even if she didn't know them. There will be no calling hours and services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local church.
