Williams, Mary H.
Mary H. Williams, age 70 of Danbury entered into eternal rest at home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 surrounded by family and friends after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Roland Williams, Jr.
She was born in Yonkers, NY on October 4, 1943, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Nyemchek) Rooney. Mrs. Williams worked for many years as a medical secretary. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and loved playing cards with the "gang". She found immense pleasure spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by 2 sons: Roland J. Williams, III (Willie) and his wife, Dawn of Brookfield, Chad R. Williams and his wife, Amy of West Hartford; a grandson: Austin Williams; and a sister: Patricia R. Caloia and her husband, Joseph of New Rochelle, NY. She was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10:00AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 25 West Street, Danbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Route 39, New Fairfield.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: Praxair Cancer Center, C/o Western Ct Health Network, 24 Hospital Ave., Danbury, Ct 06810 or to: Western Ct. Hospice, 39 Old Ridgebury Rd., Danbury, Ct 06810.
