Sally Shail Obituary
Sally Shail died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Sally was born October 25, 1938 in Golden's Bridge, NY. She grew up in Danbury and graduated Danbury HS in 1956. She has lived in Bridgewater since 1970. Sally worked as a secretary for various companies in her professional career. She was a former member of the Bridgewater Fire Dept Women's Auxiliary and a volunteer with the Senior Center in Bridgewater. Sally's greatest joy in life was hosting family and friends for warm gatherings featuring delicious feasts with plentiful merriment. She was well known for her generosity, sense of humor, and love of family. Sally is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Don, her two children and their spouses, Keli and Tom Green of Enfield, NH, and Scott and Laura Shail of Bridgewater. Sally was 'Mimi' to 3 grandchildren, Austin, Megan and Riley Green. She is also survived by her sister Kayanne Dibble of Farmington, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Sally was pre-deceased by her parents Alice and Harry Dale, and two sisters, Donna Heron and Judy Dale. Calling hours are from 4 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the Lillis Funeral Home , 58 Bridge Street, New Milford. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 2 at the Bridgewater Congregational Church. Burial will follow at Bridgewater Center Cemetery, Bridgewater, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sally's memory to the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 9, Bridgewater, CT 06752

Seems like yesterday, we all met for lunch, Don, Wally and Jan in Beaufort, SC, Sally was so full of life that day. Glad her suffering is over now. Sorry for your loss.
