Schiessl, Ann M.
Ann (Milo) Schiessl of Brookfield died Saturday, May 10th after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Hans Schiessl.
Ann was the daughter of the late James and Virginia Milo of Southington. She leaves behind her son, David Bruce Schissler, his wife, Ann, and their son, Ryan, of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Ann graduated from Southing High School and attended nursing school in Texas. She was an R.N. at Gaylord Sanitarium in Wallingford for many years.
Ann was the Chairperson of the Lake Lillinonah Authority for 18 years. She loved living on the lake and was an outspoken advocate for improving the water quality and ensuring the lake's health for future generations.
Ann enjoyed boating, gardening, cooking, was an avid animal lover, and spent many years skiing around the world. True to her generation, Ann was a "tough cookie". She knew what she wanted and had no problem letting others know it too.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 10am at St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington, CT at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
