Barbara Franks Obituary

Barbara A. Franks, age 71 of Sharon, previously of New Milford, died at the Sharon Hospital on October 8, 2010. She was the wife of Arnold C. Franks. Barbara was born January 21, 1939 in Ottowa, Ontario, the daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Casey) Chopowick. She was an outstanding mother and wife and dedicated her life to the care of her family, friends and community. She will be loved and missed by all who had the priviledge of knowing her. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard Cloutier of Port Richy, Fla. and Gregory Franks of Phoenix, Md.; three daughters, Bethany Franks of Guilford, Jennifer Franks of Old Saybrook, and Anne Franks of Greenwich; a brother, Michael Chopowick of Ontario; and three grandchildren, Natasha, Alex and Anabelle. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 16th at 1 p.m. at the New Milford Church of Christ, 129 Litchfield Road, (Rt 202) New Milford. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
