Erna M. Kelly

Erna M. Kelly of Danbury, previously of Croton on Hudson, Carmel and Mahopac, NY, died October 27, 2010 at the Ashlar, Masonicare in Newtown. She was 83 years old. Erna was born January 18, 1927 in Dettelbach, Germany, the daughter of the late John and Margareta (Fries) Dorsch. She lived in the Croton on Hudson area, later moving to Carmel, NY, Mahopac and in 1996 moved to Danbury. She enjoyed listening to music. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Strom and son-in-law, John Strom of Bethel and many brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, William A. Kelly Jr. and a brother, Walter Dorsch. Cremation services were held in private and entrusted to Cremation Services of Western CT,, 55 Main Street, Danbury. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in her name to Ability Beyond Disability, 4 Berkshire Blvd., Bethel, CT 06801.
