George Webb

George Webb, age 52 of Stratford, beloved husband of April (Herfel) Webb, entered eternal life Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Griffin Hospital, Derby. George was born September 5, 1958 in Scranton, Pa., son of Ann Marie (Ligi) Webb of Stratford and the late George Webb. George was a graduate of Fordham University, and a graduate of Fairfield Prep where he excelled as both a defensive line backer and offensive guard on the football team, and was an all league selection in his senior year. He was a job coach for Employment Options, loved to read, and enjoyed board games, especially games of strategy. He loved art and architecture and was an avid New York Giant fan. Survivors in addition to his mother and wife, include his two sons, Brian and James Webb; his brother, Gerald Webb; a nephew and a niece, Matthew and Katherine Webb; and several cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday afternoon, September 25, 2010 from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, Stratford Road, Stratford.
