Irene Toth Obituary

Irene V. (Chacho) Toth, age 98, of The Village at Brookfield Commons, Brookfield, formerly of Stratford, died on October 20, 2010 at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph S. Toth. Born in Bridgeport to the late Karol and Theresa Skovran Chacho, she was an area resident most of her life. Mrs. Toth was retired from General Electric Co. where she had been employed for 42 years. She is survived by two sisters, Anna Williams of Danbury and Virginia Hancock of Oxford; one brother, Andrew Chacho of Monroe; stepson, John Toth of Milford; two stepdaughters, Joan Parrella and Arlene Arellano, both of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Karol and Paul Chacho and a sister, Mary Conner. The funeral was celebrated on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 9 a.m. at St. James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Union Cemetery. At Mrs. Toth's request, there were no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Connecticut Children's Medical Center 282 Washington Street Hartford, CT 06106. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
