Memories and Condolences
for Jeanne Negri

Not sure what to say?

October 20, 2010

To the Negri family,

So hard to lose someone special. I was your backyard neighbor behind the chain link fence. Bob, you were the one who came over after my frantic call that Dave had fallen off the roof. Not sure if I ever thanked you for that. Jeanne told me of her near death experience years ago and she told God her family needed her and so God gave her back to you to enjoy her family all these years.

My Dearest Bob. I will never forget my best friend Jeanne. I have to smile even now at the first cup of coffee she made for me, it was so strong it made my naturally curly hair straight and we laughed about it often. That memory along with her love and friendship will remain in my heart forever. I am here for you and your family, our friendship will never waiver...Hugs Penny

Bob and Jean lived next door to us on Olive Street in Danbury for many years. I can still remember Jean's high laugh that could be heard across the connecting back yards, and recall how she seemed to live in barefeet all summer long. She was always genuinely interested in our young lives, and was alway quick to offer encouragement.

To Jeanne's family, especially the girls, my deepest sympathy. Remembering all the help Jeanne gave during the cheerleading years at Broadview and especially at DHS, the many conversations by phone from Oklahoma and the visits at Hyannis. You will always have a guardian angel watching out for you and yours. She is at peace.
