Jill Trigaux Obituary

Jill Meyerriecks Trigaux of Newtown, died Monday, October 11, 2010. Much loved as a wife, mother and friend, Jill was an active artist and gardener. She touched many lives with her creativity, thoughtfulness and outreach. Born March 28, 1951 in New York City, her father was artist George Meyerriecks and her mother was nurse Marceline Stygles Meyerriecks. In New York, she attended the Red Brick and Spence Schools. After graduating from Danbury High School and Western Connecticut State University, she taught Kindergarten. Her husband, David, her children, Brett and Carolyn Peterson and Christopher and Matthew Trigaux; stepsons, Alexander and Jonathan Trigaux; her brother, Thad Meyerriecks and his family, Leslie Mason and Lucy Mason, survive her. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at the Meeting House on Main Street in Newtown on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 3 p.m. Arrivals are welcome beginning at 2 and fellowship will be shared from 4 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 344, Newtown, CT 06470.

It was with such sadness that I read the news of Jill's passing. Althogh I have not seen her lately, she was very much a part of my life. We had the best of the best times, and Nick and I offer her family our deepest sympathy.

I'm so deeply at a loss for words at expressing my deepest sympathy. She touched my life very deeply and I fell in love with her 1967 I never lost that. I knew she would make the greatest Wife, Mother & friend. The world has lost a great light but God has her glowing warmth. Thad & Dave & family your loss is in my heart.
