John Bouteiller Obituary

John E. Bouteiller, 80, of Danbury, beloved husband of Elayne Marie (DeGrosse) Bouteiller, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, December 1st. He was born in Danbury on July 29, 1930, son of the late Eugene G. and Louise (Rogers) Bouteiller. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1948. John owned and operated Fran's Barbershop in Danbury From 1968 until his retirement in 2007. He also worked for Barden Corp for 16 years. John served as past secretary and treasurer for the local Barber's Union and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. John was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables. He also enjoyed playing cards with old friends. In addition to his cherished wife of 59 years, Elayne, he will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Renee Bouteiller of Danbury, and Michele Hossan and her husband, Michael of Danbury; and his two grandsons, Zachary and Nicholas Hossan of Danbury. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Bouteiller and his wife, Anne Marie of Newtown; his sister, Jeanne Wilkins of Pennsylvania; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Mark J. Bouteiller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 6th at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial Contributions in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, or to AIDS Project of Greater Danbury.
