Karl A. Leach, 48, of New Milford, CT, passed away on February 2, 2014. He was the husband of Karen Kubisek Caprio Leach.
Mr. Leach was born in Danbury, CT, November 7, 1965, son of Arthur and Elaine Morgan Leach.
He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, Class of 1983. He was a contractor and owned and operated his own business. He was a jack of all trades.
A devoted man to his community, he served as a EMT and a volunteer firefighter with the Germantown Volunteer Fire Department, where he was a life member and served as chief, assistant chief, lieutenant, and a honorary member. He also belonged to the Gaylordsville Volunteer Fire Department where he served as first engineer as well as first lieutenant. His main hobby was teaching his children all he knew, as well as hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Christopher and his wife Priscilla, Stephen, Nichole, Douglas and his fiancé Kristen; grandmother Kay; brother, Jordan, grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, and Izabella. He also leaves behind his two K-9 hunting buddies, Chase and Ryliegh; as well as a large extended family and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 10 AM to 1 PM, with a service at 1 PM, at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT.
