Kenneth Peck Obituary

Kenneth E. Peck, 71, recently of Danbury, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Danbury Hospital. Ken was born September 27, 1939 in Danbury, son of the late Kenneth L. and Alice McGinley Peck. A lifelong resident of Newtown, Ken was a 1957 graduate of Newtown High School and was a retired builder. Ken was a two year resident of the River Glen Health Center in Southbury. Ken's family thanks the entire staff of River Glen for the kind care given to him. He is survived by a son, Kenneth E. Peck Jr.; four brothers, Arthur, Jack, Raymond and Bill; two sisters, Karen Leonard and Edy Tani; three grandchildren, Kenneth Robert and Amber; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Charles. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22 at 11 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be in Newtown Village Cemetery, Newtown. Family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Uncle Skip was a character, I enjoyed laughing and joking with him all the time. I will remember all of the good times at Pop's especially when playing croquet he would send my ball into the field and then crack up...I will miss him!
