Allen, Lawrence
Lawrence Allen, 68, passed away unexpectedly on May 1st, 2013 at his home in Naugatuck, Ct. Larry was born in Norwalk, Ct. In his youth, he grew up in the secluded woods on the east side of Wilton. He then settled for a long while around the Danbury/Bethel area surrounded by great friends and an extended family. He was a journeyman pipe fitter with Local 777. He loved the outdoors, bow-hunting for deer and bear, Cinnamon Bay in St. John's, an avid pool player for the APA and NASCAR observer with his wife Karen, brother Mike and a host of friends. He also had a green thumb for growing. Larry was pre-deceased by his mother Agnes B. Campos and recently his brother, Michael J. Allen of Wallingford, CT. He is survived by his loving wife Karen Mitchell, son Lawrence (J.J.) Allen and his daughters Sherri Holberg, Jamie Barney, Megan Allen and step-children Tootsie, John and Taylor. Larry is also survived by his brother Roman S. Mrozinski of Wallingford; plus a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews from an extensive family base of Allen's, Mrozinski's, Shortell's, Pawloski's, Travers, Byrne's and Kennedy's. A private memorial and celebration of Larry's life and legacy will be held for family and friends.
