Lorice Nassif Obituary

Lorice T. Nassif, age 87 of Bethel, previousy of Danbury, died on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Hancock Hall, Danbury. Miss Nassif was born in Lawrence, Mass., May 14, 1923, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie (Fadel) Nassif and attended Lawrence schools. A resident of the Danbury area since 1942 coming from Lawrence, she was employed with the Barden Corporation, Danbury in the accounting department. She was a member of St. Anthony's Maronite Catholic Church of Danbury and of its Ladies Guild. Her devotion and love for her family and her friendliness will be sorely missed. Miss Nassif is survived by a brother, Namen N. Nassif Sr. and his wife, Nancy of Danbury; a sister, Margaret Tavella and her husband, Rocco of Danbury; four nephews, Namen N. Nassif Jr. and his wife, Roberta and their daughter, Tiffany of Naugatuck, Joseph Tavella and his wife, Maryann and their daughter, Sherry of Monroe, Philip Tavella and his wife, Wendy and their children, Matthew, Daniel and Katelyn, all of Newtown and Anthony Tavella and his wife, Kim of New Milford and a niece, Beverly Cacares and her husband, Edward and their children, Mercedes and Sabriyya all of New New Milford. Graveside funeral services and burial will take place on Friday, December 31st, 2010 in Section 19 of St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury at 11:30 a.m. There will be no calling hours. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
