My Mom was a resident of HH and I remember the day Lorraine was admitted. She was at the nurses station and was a bit upset. I always brought my little maltese with me when i visited my Mom. I handed the dog to Lorraine, and she just calmed right down. Every visit, Lorraine would see me with the dog and stretch her arms out to hold her. She was quite the character too. I heard an ambulance call last week for room 211...I only knew this because it was my Mothers old room. I didnt know if the call was for Madalyn or Lorraine so I prayed for both. I was surprised to learn she was Marty Gay's sister. We were friends with the Gay's for years. I am so sorry for your loss...we wish you peace.

I remember when I was 6 I went to my Great Aunt Lorraine's house. Since her sister, my grandmother, is dead, she told me that she would treat me like she was my grandmother. Then she gave me a teddy bear before I left her house. I haven't seen her since then and now I'll never see her again.

"The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death." - Isaiah 57:1-2 (NIV)
