Mary Gorman Obituary

Mary E. Gorman, age 81, a life long Danbury resident passed away at Bethel Health Care on Saturday Dec. 9, 2010. Mary was the wife of the late Robert C. Gorman. She was born in Danbury February 10, 1929, daughter of the late Patrick and Ellen (Moffett) McCue. Mary was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1947. She is survived by her sons, Patrick J. Gorman and his wife, Virginia and William F. Gorman and his wife, Joann; a sister, Helena Henion; grandchildren, Kevin Gorman and Maggie Gorman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Garrecht and Winnie McKeever and brother, Robert E. McCue, Sr. A Mass of ChristianBurial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church Danbury on Monday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery Bethel. Friends will be received in the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St., Danbury on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Bethel Health Care Patient Recreation Fund attention Lisa Blumb, 13 Parklawn Dr., Bethel, CT 06801 or Regional Hospice of Western CT 405 Main St., Danbury 06810.
