Webster, Sr., Peter D.
Peter Dearborn Webster, Sr., age 73, of Bethel, CT died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at West Haven Veteran's Hospital. He was the husband of Gwendolyn (Gilbert) Webster.
He was born in New Rochelle, NY, March 24, 1943, son of the late Walter F. and Elaine (Smith) Webster. He served in the United States navy during Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. Berry 933 out of New Port, Rhode Island. He was the owner of many collectable automobiles and was an avid stamp and coin collector. Peter Webster was the owner of Webster's Painting Service located in Bethel and Danbury, CT for a total of 43 years. The Webster family have been residents of Bethel for the past 46 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Peter S. Webster and his spouse Kristine Hannon of Holiday, FL; a daughter Kelly Marquis of Bethel; 3 brothers: Tom Webster of Salt Lake City, UT, David Webster of Boulder, CO, Guy Webster, and 2 grandchildren: Morgan and Shayla Marquis. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother: Tony Webster.
The funeral will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 95 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Saturday morning, February 25th, 2017 at 10:00. Burial with military honors will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24th at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, CT, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
