Bob was my roommate when we were both residents at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan 1958-60.
I believe I was partly instrumental in his choice of Putnam for his practice.
When Mt. Kisco Hospital found that there were specialists settling in Brewster and Carmel in expectation that they could use their hospital in while building their own, they discovered a county line had been drawn since the last Putnam doctors were accepted and so we went to Danbury Hospital, they allowed us and Dr.Glatt temporary usage, which allowed us to survive the few years until Putnam Community Hospital was built.
Bob and I were among the first nine MD's and were on the first Medical Board and were the first chiefs of our respective services at PCH.
Later when I had a falling out with my partners he invited me to share his office in the same building.
What I am saying is that I had a long, close and fond personal and professional relationship.
I loved him and will miss him (and his humor).

I too had the great pleasure to work with this wonderful doctor, man and friend. With his surgical skills and personal approach to his patients he was well respected by all. He always had a smile and something nice or funny to say when coming on the med/surg floor. I also send my condolences to the whole family.

I worked with Dr. Wallbrunn at Putnam Hospital for many years. My memories are those of a skilled surgeon and and kindness to those with whom he worked. Please accept my sympathy at your great loss.
