Mrs. Rose (Langyel) Lewis, age 66, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Saturday, June 15, 2013. She was the wife of David Lewis.
Rose was born March 20, 1947 in Pound Ridge, NY, daughter of the late John and Marion (Reddy) Langyel. Rose had a love for all animals. Over the years she had many pets, her favorite being her dog Elvis. She was also an avid gardener and loved flowers.
Besides her husband of 46 years, David, she leaves behind five daughters, Rose and her husband David Sarandrea of Waterbury, Melisa Lewis of Queens, NY, Linda and her husband Han Na of Naugatuck, Johanna and her husband Kevin Frappier of Wolcott and Dianne and her husband Jeremiah Weid of Naugatuck; sixteen grandchildren, Anthony, Brittany, Dealza, Danecia, Christopher, Deandre, Douglas, Barbara, John, Melinda, Sorenna, Justin, Saleena, Ryan, Tyler and Kyle; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Veronica Susan Langyel of Danbury; many nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by two sons MacArthur and Mike; a daughter Barbara; two brothers and four sisters.
Arrangements: Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial with follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Danbury. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
