Roselena Beers Obituary

Roselena "Rosie" Beers, 73, beloved wife and mother, died October 19, 2010 in Danbury Hospital surrounded by her family after a brief illness. Rosie was born on January 5, 1937 in Mt. Vernon, New York. For 20 years, Rosie was the operations manager at Danbury Airport before becoming the Patterson Town Clerk until her retirement in 2001. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Martin Beers of Putnam Lake, New York. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Doreen Solomon and her husband Gerald, of Arlington, VA, her daughter Leslie Pattison, of Danbury, and her daughter Jodi Beardsley-Fiorentini and her husband John-Paul Fiorentini of Danbury. She is also survived by her sister Janet Phillips of Bethel, two brothers, George Phillips and Robert Phillips both of Unadilla, NY; seven grandchildren, Gregory and Zachary Solomon, William Beardsley, Shauna Beardsley-Vargas, Rachael, Derek and Robert Pattison. In her spare time Rosie was an enthusiastic hobbiest. She loved to knit, crochet paint, fish and sew, in addition to being an avid cook and gardener. She will be sadly missed by her family. Services will be private and at the convenience of her family. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Fauna Rescue Society, 3rd Floor, Nashau, NH, 03060.
