Rosine Mims Obituary

Rosine Mims, wife of Bruce L. Mims, died at her home in Brookfield on Monday, October 18, 2010. Rosine was born on July 5, 1928 in Danbury, the daughter of Olindo and Antoinette (Salese) DeFlumeri. Rosine graduated from Danbury State Teachers College and taught elementary education for several years in the Danbury area. After teaching, she and her husband, Bruce, went into the housing renovation business. She applied her incredible sense of design and understated elegance in the successful renovation of 17 houses. During the same period, she and Bruce were active in helping people with hearing impairment by developing, manufacturing and distributing various hearing assistive devises through their company, Four Point Design. Rosine will be remembered by her family for her distinctive grace, poise and style, her sense of humor and her endless charm. She turned the simplest elements into beautiful statements. She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her daughter, Christine (Farris) Andersen and her husband, Erik; her granddaughter, Emily Dae Andersen; her grandson, Paul Joseph Andersen; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be no formal services.
