Nazro, Thomas J.
Thomas J. Nazro, 59, of Danbury, died on Wednesday morning, February 12, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Danbury Hospital. A son of the late Mitchell "Mike" and Inez (Cavagna) Nazro, Tommy was born in Danbury, June 25, 1954. A lifelong Danbury resident, he was active in the Ability Beyond program and was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Danbury. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar and the drums and watching The Dukes of Hazard. He loved being with his family and friends and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a teacher of life. He taught us to cherish every moment, to love unconditionally, and to be strong in adversity. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. He is survived by two brothers, Michael Nazro and Louis Nazro and his wife Lisa; four sisters, Kathleen A. Todd and Andrew Alpert, Mary Lee Sergi and her husband Ralph, Judith Coughlin and her husband Francis, and Barbara Noone, and by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Tom's family extends special thanks to Ability Beyond and Almost Home and to the nurses at Danbury Hospital for the unselfish care. The Rite of Burial will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11AM in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 125 Kohanza St., Danbury with Very Rev. Father George Alberts officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The family will receive friends at St. George Church, Danbury on Saturday from 9AM to 10:30AM.
