Tita, William C.
William "Bill" Tita, 79, of Danbury, husband of Margaret "Peg" (Kundrat) Tita died on Monday evening, December 9, 2013 at Danbury Hospital. Mr. Tita was born in Danbury, November 14, 1934, son of Peter and Anna (Katrenich) Tita. He attended Danbury schools and Henry Abbott Technical School. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Tita was retired from the Perkin Elmer Corporation where he was associated with facilities operations. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Tita was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Danbury, a member of the Golden Dome Bakers, a Bingo volunteer and a member of its former Men's Club.
A jack of all trades and knowing the importance of family, Mr. Tita would look for the opportunity to put forth his technical skills by assisting all members of his family. He will be sorely missed. In addition to his wife, "Peg" of fifty-one years, he is survived by four daughters, Sandy Heinemeyer and her husband, Carl of Bethel, Susan DaPra and her husband, Robert of Sandy Hook, CT, Debbie Clark and her husband, Phil of Newtown and Donna Tita Jordan of Brookfield; a brother, Thomas Tita of Danbury; twelve grandchildren, Ben, Abby and Joey Heinemeyer, Alex, Kate and Nicki DaPra, Jack, Noah, Aidan and Liam Clark and Anna and Meghan Jordan as well as several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10 am in St. Ann Melkite Church, 181 Clapboard Ridge Rd., RT 39 N, Danbury 06811 with Fr. John Cigan of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave. Danbury from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The Panachida service will take place in the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:30 pm.
