THE RUTLEDGE FAMILY HAS ALWAYS WELCOMED ME AS A FAMILY MEMBER, I THANK YOU FOR THAT! BILL TOLD ME ONCE ON ONE OF HIS TRIPS TO FLORIDA, (THAT THE INTEGRITY IN A MAN IS JUST THAT! IF YOU DO GOOD THEN ONLY GOOD CAN POSSIBLY COME OUT OF IT.) I'VE BEEN TRYING EVER SINCE AND THANKS TO THE BLESSINGS EVERYTHING HAS BEEN OKAY THANKS TO THE WISDOM OF ONE MAN WHO CARED ABOUT THE NEXT. There are not enough words to put down to express the sadness of the passing of my cousin Billy, But I have all the fond memories of countless Thanksgiving dinners, christmases and many weekends spent at my families house on Everett Rd in Carmel. I will Miss you Willum! Love Gumby

I have never met the man, however, if it is true what is said about judging the caliber of the man by his children, then he must have been not only an outstanding human being, but a true American.
