Herbert E. Bullock, 79, of Danbury, beloved husband of Dolores (Tolbert) Bullock, passed away peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, February 23,
Herbert was born in Danbury, son of the late Horace and Elizabeth (Higson) Bullock. He graduated from St. Peter Episcopal School for Boys in Peekskill, NY and attended the former Jesse Lee Academy in Redding. He had worked for many years in the family business in Brookfield, known as Bullock Marine. His most recent work affiliation was with Echo Bay Marina in Brookfield. He also served as a Corporate Director and then a Director of the New Milford Savings Bank. In addition to his wife Dolores, he is survived by his twin sister Mary Lane of Granite Shoals, TX and an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Bobby Bullock and sister Betty Lane.
"Herb" as he was known by family and friends was a caring, loving and generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He had a great love of Candlewood Lake where he grew up.
Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Thursday
from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. with a service to be held at the Green Funeral Home at
6:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
