Elaine Pease Wojnilko, 86, of Danbury, formerly of Bethel, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Elaine was born in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Charles Russell Pease and Eliza Margaret Shuler. She graduated high school in Yonkers. She had lived in Bethel for many years and worked as a waitress in local restaurants and went on to work as an Inspector for the Barden Corporation and as a receptionist for the former Perkin Elmer Company of Danbury, prior to retirement. She is a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She is survived by her daughter Paula Kennedy and husband Donald of Danbury, with whom she made her home, her grandchildren: John Kennedy and wife Stephanie, Matthew Kennedy, Donald Kennedy and wife Andrea, Kerri Kennedy and Thomas Kennedy and great grandchildren: Brian and Rebecca Zolotorofe, Jakob and Thomas Kennedy and Ethan and Riley Finn and Felicia Fields.
In addition to her husband John Wojnilko and parents she is predeceased by her sisters: Lydie, Margaret, Mabel, Florence, Roberta, Annette, Lillian, and brother Charles Pease and granddaughter Heather Kennedy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
