John Raymond "Jack" Malone of Poway, California, passed away June 29, 2014 at the age of 72 after a short illness. His sons, Scott of Murrieta, California and Kenny of Jackson Hole, Wyoming were at his side together with their mother, Jack's former spouse and good friend, Estelle. Jack is also survived by his grandchildren Ava and Mason and daughter-in-law, Katarina of Murrieta, California, his brother James Malone of Sherman, CT, and his sister Jill Rader of Brookfield, CT. Jack was born in Jamaica, New York to the late Jessie and Raymond Malone. He lived in Danbury, Connecticut before enlisting the Marine Corps in 1960 and attended Henry Abbott Technical School. Jack Served in the United States Marine Corps from 5/27/60 to 10/24/67, ultimately attaining the rank of Staff Sargent before being Honorably Discharged. Originally stationed in Rota Spain, Jack later became a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War, earning the Bronze Star with Valor and three Purple Hearts among many other awards. Jack enjoyed a long and successful sales career in the electronics industry and had recently retired from his position as Sr. Field Sales Engineer at Microchip Technology. Jack was interred at the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA in a ceremony with full military honors. An online obituary and guestbook is available at
