Cyr, Jr, Armand
Armand Raymond Cyr, Jr. passed away unexpectedly in Vernon, CT on Sunday, July 13, 2014. Born in Norwalk on March 26, 1976, he was the son of Linda (Novak) Cyr of Danbury and Armand R. Cyr, Sr. of Bridgeport. He attended schools Newtown and Fairfield.
In 2010 Armand survived a horrific motorcycle crash that nearly took his life; over the next 4 years he struggled and fought on a daily basis to overcome nearly insurmountable odds just to get up and walk again on legs he nearly lost. That this tragedy should take him now, is just unbelievable. Armand was passionate about life, always living it to the fullest; as we all know, his motto was "Seize the day!" His daughter Olivia was the light of his life….there was absolutely nothing he enjoyed more than being with her.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his beloved daughter, Olivia Lynn Cyr of Coventry, CT; his sister, Tammy (Cyr) Brown and her husband Todd of Bethel; three nephews, Dawson, Kobe and Mason Brown, also of Bethel; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and friends.
There will be no calling hours or services, but the family will see friends and loved ones at Tammy and Todd's home at 33 Maple Avenue Ext., Bethel, on Saturday, July 19 from 12pm to 6pm.
Cremation has taken place at the family's direction; his ashes will remain with his family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Memorial Fund that has been set up to benefit his daughter Olivia's future education by his Mom, Linda. Donations can be sent to: The Armand R. Cyr Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 1 Eagle Road, Danbury, CT 06810.
