Brave, Dorothy E.
Dorothy Elizabeth Brave, age 75 of New Milford, died on August 6th at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Alexzander Brave Jr.
Dorothy was born August 31, 1938 in Charlotte Courthouse, VA to Claudie Anderson and Dorothy Elizabeth (Logan) Anderson. She received her education at Central High School in Charlotte Courthouse, VA and was a member of St. Louis Church before moving to Stamford, CT at the age of 19. She would eventually make her home in Danbury before moving to New Milford, CT where she was a longtime resident.
Dorothy, affectionately known as "Bet", met her husband Alex while working at Consolidated Controls. They married in 1978 and would have celebrated their 36th anniversary November 18th. They worshipped together at Faith Church in New Milford, CT.
After her retirement from Amphenol Corp., Dorothy went on to work at the New Milford High School until 2010.
In addition to her loving husband Alexzander, Dorothy is survived by her son Paul Labine Wilson, Jr. of Petersburg, VA; two daughters, Lisa (Linton Omar)Grant of Woodbridge, VA and Linda Dosha Wilson of Danbury, CT; sister Robinette (Edward) McCarley of Danbury, CT; grandchildren Nathan and Lauren Grant of Woodbridge, VA; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins that she grew up with in Charlotte Courthouse, VA.
She was predeceased by her parents Claudie and Dorothy (Logan) Anderson, brother Louis Anderson and sister Rachel Anderson.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday August 12th at Faith Church, New Milford at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street, Danbury on Monday August 11th from 5 thru 7pm.
