Dachenhausen, Roger
Roger A. Dachenhausen went to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28, 2014.
Born August 11, 1930 and raised in Redding, CT. He was one of five children born to the late Alfred W. and Alma Dachenhausen. He was preceded by his brother Alfred, he is survived by his sisters, Irene Rousseau of Danbury, Ruth Soderston of Englewood, Fla., and Johanna Whittlesey of Brookfield, CT.
He worked for his uncle Theodore Dachenhausen for a while as a mason and then retired from Danbury Hospital.
He will forever be remembered by his devoted and loving wife Jeanne, and his beloved children Roxanne Lundberg and Glenn Dachenhausen and his wife Cindy. Also, he will be very missed by his loving grandchildren Ricky and Melissa Lundberg, and Emma Grace Dachenhausen.
Roger loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed camping, traveling, and hunting at his cabin in New York State. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Brookfield, CT for many years. He loved the Lord with all his heart. One of things he loved doing the most for the Lord, was to help build new churches that were just starting up.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missions Department of the First Assembly of God in Brookfield, CT.
There will be no funeral service or calling hours. A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held at Umpawaug Cemetery, West Redding, CT.
