James Francis Duffy age 42 of Danbury, formerly of New Fairfield, died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday January 9th. He was the son of John and Mary Anne (Booton) Rados of New Fairfield. James was born April 19, 1968 in Los Angeles, CA, and was raised in New Fairfield, where he attended New Fairfield schools. He was a Boy Scout with Troop 137 and had achieved the rank of STAR. He was active in many sports during his early years. James was a 1991 graduate of the University of Connecticut, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Upon graduation, he first worked as a stock broker with Dean Witter in Hartford, and most recently worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Sanofi Avantis, where he had received outstanding achievement awards. James was a member of the Concordia Society, Danbury, and was a volunteer with the Red Cross of Danbury, where most significantly he spent three months helping the victims of the Katrina tragedy in New Orleans. He was also a member of the UCONN Marching Band Alumnus, a member of the Tau Beta Sigma band fraternity, and most recently joined the Danbury Drum Corps, and the Catholic War Veterans of Danbury. James loved people, enjoyed music, and cherished his pets. He was a gentleman, kind and selfless. In addition to his mother and stepfather, James leaves behind in deep sorrow his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 15th at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield. The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Friday from 5 thru 8pm.
