Marion B. Bingham, 89, of Brookfield, formerly of Danbury, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at home. She was the wife of the late Vincent Bingham. Mrs. Bingham was born on September 8, 1921 to the late Oscar and Ruth (Hill) Schoen in Stamford, Connecticut. Marion attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Danbury High School. Class of 1939. On August 10, 1941, Marion married her late husband, Vincent Bingham and went on to have seven children together. Throughout her years, she was hard working and provided constant love and care to her family. Marion will be remembered for her quick wit and sharp sense of humor. She loved nature and later in life, spent many afternoons bird watching with her canine companion, Tucker. She also enjoyed spending her time with her family and watching re-runs of Bonanza. Over the past several years, Marion was lovingly cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and John Chassey along with her grandchildren, John Chassey Jr. and his wife, Kate Kupka-Chassey, Cara Chassey-Ozycz and her husband, Jeremie Ozycz and Maribeth Chassey. She will also be sadly missed by her children, Brenda Taylor and her husband, Norman Taylor of New Milford, CT, Bonnie Sadowski of Clifton, NJ, Cindy Rogalski and her husband, Richard Rogalski of Palm Coast, FL, Joan Sturges and her husband, Patrick Sturges of Danbury, Peter Bingham of Danbury and Vincent Bingham of Powell, Wyoming. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 5th at 2 p.m. in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury with Pastor Walt Harper of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Danbury.
