Laura E. Schutte, 76, of Bethel passed away on November 1, 2012 at Danbury Hospital. She was born on September 3, 1936 in Valhalla, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late David and Evelyn Lowden. She was married to late husband, Art Schutte for 44 years. May they rest in peace together.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Dorothy & Jane. She will be sadly missed by her son, Tom Schutte(Nancy), 2 daughters, Edna Stow(Chuck) & Bev Hodge(Rich); her 5 Grandchildren, Melanie & Kim Stow, Richie & Lauren Hodge & Tommy Schutte Jr. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Albert, David, Billy & Ralphie & 1 sister Evelyn.
She loved spending most of her time with her family, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She was an avid Bingo player, played cards and enjoyed being with her friends.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at Bouton Funeral Home on Church Street in Georgetown. Interment will take place in Branchville Cemetery. The family will receive friends & family at Bouton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to WCHN Foundation restricted to Praxir Cancer Center, 24 Hospital Avenue Danbury, Ct. 06810.
Our family would like to thank the entire staff members on the 9th & 11th floor & ICU Ward at Danbury Hospital who went above & beyond caring for our mother & also making sure we were alright every step of the way. Words cannot express how grateful we are to each & every one of you!!! Thank you so much. Many thanks to all our family, friends & co-workers…so much love & support!
