Edna Helen Pressmar, 91, of Newtown, CT, passed away peacefully at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield on Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Edward H. Pressmar. Born in New Rochelle, NY, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Phebe Balcom Langeloh. Edna was a graduate of New Rochelle High School. In her retirement she was a longtime flag-car driver. A Newtown resident since 1964, Edna lived at Nunnawauk Meadows and was a member of the Newtown Senior Center. She was an accomplished seamstress and also created beautiful handmade dolls and their clothing. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, James H. Pressmar. Edna is survived by her children: Jean Fuegeman of Southbury, Edward H. Pressmar II of Danbury, Virginia "Ginger" P. Lourenco of Danbury, Patricia Costa of New Fairfield, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren as well several dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
