Durand, Louis H.
Louis H. Durand, 82, of Brookfield, Ct., formerly of Ridgefield, Ct., passed away on May 10, 2013. Louis was born in NY, NY on March 2, 1931. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1950 and was a star athlete. He served as a CPL in the US Army during the Korean conflict. Louis was married to Arlene Kinkade on October 9, 1954, they were married 58 years. Louis worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed the Yankees, the NY Gaints, fishing and spending time with his Grandchildren. Louis is survived by wife Arlene K. Durand, daughters: Mary D. Edmond of Brookfield Ct., Cynthia D. Carroll of Newtown, Ct. and their spouses Steve and Bob, his grandchildren: Stephen Edmond , Cailah, Christopher, and Courtney Carroll, his sister Marie Forger and brother F. Thomas Durand and best friends Mario and Evelyn Di Lorenzo. A memorial mass and celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be given to Regional Hospice of Western Ct. 39 Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury, Ct. 06810.
