KEYSER - D. Jean Baker, 70, of West Piedmont Street, Keyser, W.Va., formerly of Westernport, Md., died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on August 31, 1943, at Piedmont, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Bernard C. and Julia Ellen (Baker) Baker. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Parker, and a brother, Lewis Baker.
Miss Baker was a 1961 graduate of Elk Garden High School. Along with the late Gertrude Seaber, she owned and operated the Keyser Studio for over 40 years. After her retirement from the photography industry, she was employed with IBM at Rocket Center, W.Va. She was a member of Chapter # 191, Women of the Moose
Surviving are two brothers, Ronald Baker Sr. and wife Mary of Keyser and Allen Baker and wife Virginia of New Creek, W.Va.; two sisters, Ethel Baker of Keyser and Nancy Powell and husband Bob of Keyser, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leslie Hipp officiating.
Interment will be in the Sinclair Memorial Park, Cross, WV.
